A Zappa-esque funk experience warped to 2008, one of shanghai jazz collective's golden tapes back from the days. Recorded on a worn-out Neve console in an old broadcast studio down Hai Ning Road, produced and mixed a thousand times, yet still fresh and stirring. Follow saxophonist and composer Alec Haavik (far right) on a journey from astro funk to space rock, along with his kick-ass sidemen Lawrence Ku from China on guitar, Chris Trzcinski from Cincinnati on drums, Tinho Perreira from Brazil on bass, Theo Croker from New York on trumpet (from left to right) plus doktor audio as engineer and co-producer of this instalment.
